Additional Information received from Evelyn J. Twining: "I believe the above Mary Mc Garr was the Mary (surname not given), d/o William Hayden and Honora Kavanagh, who died March 1, 1866 (Holy Family Death Records). I believe she was the mother of Eliza Kelly (on page 30 of Mc Garr family history), daughter of Michael Mc Garr and Mary Haydon (sic), who was buried 12-22-1869 in her 65th year (Holy Family Death Records). In other words, I think the Mary Mc Garr who died 3-01-1866, was the widow of Michael Mc Garr and was the d/o William Hayden and Hanora Kavanagh. This letter from Evelyn was dated 5-09-1980.
** | McGhar | Daniel | 10-29-1862 | 24y | NE
** | Michael | 4-01-1860 | 10y
** | Sarah | 4-20-1861 | 8y | |||||
Children of John & Hannah Mc Ghar.
Note: C/D lists as Mc Gar
Also in letter dated 5-09-1980, from Evelyn J. Twining: Daniel died age 21 not 24; Michael died 1861 not 1860; Sarah died 4-29-1861 not April 20th - "Requiescant in pace." (sic)
Also, on Mary's stone: native of Ballyrag--- (or Ballyray---). The stone was crackedacross the middle; it probably read "in the 97th year of her age" I couldn't read the two-line epitaph at the bottom.
