The Union Springs Advertiser (newspaper) for Thursday January 21, 1892 includes an obituary for Mrs. Archibald Stewart as follows:- Obituary - On Friday January 8th occured the death of Mrs Archibald Stewart. She leaves a husband and a large family of sons and daughters to mourn for her loss. She was a member of the M.E. Church in Union Springs. For may years the pall of disease steadily drew its gloomy mantle over her. Having been afflicted with paralysis, its racked her body with pain incessantly. But through all, her mind retained its strength and brightness. But the silver cord is loosened, the golden bowl is broken and she is at rest, safe, we trust, in the arms of her savior.
