Fort Family Tomb

Located in a grove in back of the Reilly residence in Aurora , on property owned by Wells College .

This tomb is an imposing masonary structure built of limestone blocks . In front is a small yard with an iron fence partly down . Three limestone pillars lie on the ground in front of the tomb . One has a pyramid shaped top. Apparently these were above the front of the tomb , originally . On the front of the tomb is the name PETER FORT 1854 . Members of the Fort Family are said to have been buried here.
