Edsall Cemetery

Locke, Cayuga  County, New York

Graveyard  Inscriptions.

Located 300 ft. east of the north-south road running from Locke to North Lansing, near south-central part of Lot 31 (as shown on p.52, New Century Atlas of Cay. Co., N.Y., 1904.) This cemetery enclosed by a substantial metal lattice fence, 50 by 75 feet, with not even a single gate. On a knoll surrounded by old fruit trees, originally in a beautiful setting. Copied by Leslie Luther, Moravia, N.Y.

These following records were transcribed from the D. A. R. Cemetery Record Books.

ALVEY Charles, buried about 1920.
	 _____ wife of Charles buried about 1917.

	(Mr. Purley Minturn of Locke, N.Y., stated that about 1920 he buried a

	Mr. Charles Alvey; and about three years previous he had buried Charles’s

	wife, in this cemetery.)

(Mr. Luther notes that the first three EDSALL monuments were nice granite,

6 ft. high and alike.  The 4th was a nodern granite monument.)



Miss Flora Daniells also copied this cemetery, which she describes as being on

the Lamphere Farm on Creek Road, town of Locke, iron fence all around.  She found

the same except for the Emily A. Edsall above which she listed as:
