Cemetery In Back Of
St. Peter's Church

Auburn, NY  (Cayuga County)

Note:  These burial records were originally compiled in the early 1960's as part of a project by Local Historians and Members of the Owasco Chapter D.A.R.  Copies were obtained courtesy of the Cayuga County Historian's Office in February 1998 and typed into a digital format by Bernie Corcoran.  Any hand written corrections or notes contained from the copy in The County Historian's Office, have been added to this On-line transcription.  Malcolm Goodelle, (the former Archivist in the Cayuga County Historian's Office) indicated that there are several additional headstones in this cemetery with information that can't be read.  Mr. Goodelle also cited that because many of these cemetery headstones were so very hard to read...the accuracy of many names and dates in this inventory may be questionable.
In October of 2005, I was provided with additions to the list of burials in the church yard of St. Peter's Episcopal Church Auburn, New York that were not contain in the 1960s countywide cemetery burial list.  These may also include further information [in brackets, additions] added to prior list of existing record.  These additions are posted at the bottom of this website page and are based ON A DETAILED EXAMINATION OF THE PARISH RECORDS BY THE RECTOR EMERITUS ROBERT C. AYERS IN August 2002.
