Below is a copy of E-mail regarding burial information contained on this website page |
From: Pat McArthur To: cayuga@roadrunner.com Sent: Monday, July 12, 2010 2:13 PM Subject: Cayuga County cemetery records Hi, great cemetery information on the Cayuga County site.
I found this information for Scipio Rural Cemetery at
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nycayuga/cem/cem165.htm:
Cranson, Martha A. Spaulding
Cranson, Samuel T.
Cranson, Dexter Dexter Cranson would have been Caleb Cranson, Jr.'s brother, both sons of Caleb and Hannah Porter Cranson. Stewart's Corners Cemetery http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nycayuga/cem/cem247.htm has him listed on their transcription (Dexter Cranton) directly below Caleb, Hannah, and several other Cranson family, and other family members are buried there as well. Since the heading on your page for Scipio Rural Cemetery says the records were obtained from Death and County records, I suspect that Dexter died and was buried in Scipio, and was either moved to Stewart's Corners or a marker was put in Stewart's Corners for him with the family. Thanks for your work.
