"In memory of Robert WALLIS who departed this life July 17 1829 ae 70 years." "In memory of MARY wife of Robert Wallis who departed this life April 19th 1810 aged 49 years."

There are a couple other lists floating around, including one on the Cayuga County Genweb page, but these are incomplete. This list was put together after several visits to the cemetery by myself, as well as information gathered from the Genoa Rural Life Museum in Kings Ferry (courtesy Grayson Mitchell). The cemetery was established in 1808 on land owned by my 3rd great-grandfather, Josiah Tupper. He deeded his farm to his daughter Betsy Tupper Dean, who sold the land to a neighbor when her family moved to Michigan in 1864. The one-acre burial grounds, however, was earlier deeded to a now-defunct Scottish Presbyterian sect, the "Society of Seceders." Today, the cemetery is considered "abandoned."
